Joe DeKroub
President
Joseph C. DeKroub, Jr. is the president of the Michigan Group. He started the company in 1981 and has always had an open door policy. He is always available for agents to come in and discuss issues that are important to them. Joe strongly believes in the philosophy of the Upside Down Pyramid, where clients are most important, followed by the agents who serve the clients, followed by the support staff that supports the agents, followed by management and then Joe himself.
Bill Russell
Vice President/General Council
Bill Russell graduated second in his class at University of Detroit School of Law. Prior to law school Bill had been a school teacher. This unique background has given Bill a special talent for communicating sophisticated matters into language we can all understand. For the past 15 years Bill has concentrated his practice in residential real estate transactions. He started his real estate career as a staff attorney for Loftis Title. Then he became Claims Council for Michigan for Lawyers Title. Bill has been full time with The Michigan Group for the last 11 years. His experience in the title industry as well as residential real estate sales is unique in the industry.
Bill Russell continues to be active in the industry and served as President of the Livingston County Association of Realtors in 2006.
Bill continues to be on the Real Comp II Board of Directors. Bill continues to teach by providing instruction at seminars and Con-ed.
He will be glad to answer your real estate related questions.
Lisa Stone
Director of Business Administration
Lisa oversees the daily business administrative duties and operation. These tasks include: staff work schedules for all 3 offices, processing procedures for new hires and terminated employees, agent licenses, contracts, floor schedules, auditorium scheduling, office supplies, signs and name badges. She is also involved with the Livingston County Investment Program and weekly Sales Meetings.
Kandis Thompson
Controller/Accounting Department Supervisor
Kandis is not only the Controller and Accounting Department Supervisor, she is also the administrator of Corporate Computers & Network Printers, Payroll Administrator and Phone/T1 Administrator.
Diana Wells
Advertising Manager
The Advertising Department creates promotional items that enhance Real Estate endeavors. Such items include Just Listed and Just Sold post cards, highlight/feature sheets, door hangers, personal logos, business cards and more. Agents may also discuss individual custom designs including everything from photo retouching to posters, flyers and anything else you can dream up.
Advertising also produces the Michigan Group Homes Magazine 6 times a year. Agents may also advertise using custom color ads personally designed by the advertising department’s graphic artists.
Gretchen Sieja
Listing Department
Gretchen’s job is to process all new listings by entering them in RealComp Broker, load and maintain current listings including pending, solds, price changes, withdrawns, and misc. changes.
Gretchen also makes sure the Advertising Department receives a copy of your new listing and will also order your video tour and your Home Warranty if the home owner has requested one.
Pam Shearer
Closing Director
Pam’s goal is to help you get to the closing table as quickly and smoothly as possible. Her duties include reviewing all sale files, ordering and reviewing title work, assisting in resolving title issues, ordering payoffs for listings that are closed at Select Title, reviewing all closing packages, and providing signed broker statements for closing of TMG listings.
Dan Davenport
Director of Vacant Land
As director of vacant land here at the Michigan Group, Dan's duties are to assist agents with any issues they encounter when marketing land. Whether it's a questions about dividing land, zoning, soils, legal descriptions, or any of the many aspects of buying or selling vacant land, Dan is available to help the sales force and their clients.

Pat Bean
C.A.R.E.
The Career Academy of Real Estate was established in February of 2000. The goal of the school was to provide superior pre-license and continuing education training to Livingston County and surrounding areas.
Pat Bean has been teaching these courses for over 17 years and has trained over 10,000 students. Pat holds one of the highest pass-fail rates in the state.

Director of Career Opportunity
Tom is the Director of career Opportunity. His responsibilities include
the recruiting of both new and seasoned agents. He has been a licensed Realtor
for 21 years, and has opporated a successful residential real estate company for
7 years. In addition he is a past president of The Livingston Association of
Realtors and a three term member of the board. Tom has lived and worked in
Livingston county for over 35 years.
